Card Mechanics/How To Play

 SETUP:

1) Take all four kings out of the deck and put them into a pile.
2) Shuffle them and then you and your opponent takes turns drawing a card until one of you gets the King of Hearts. The person who doesn't draw the King of Hearts then shuffles the deck 7 times (with the Kings taken out).
3) Deal out the cards evenly to each player and choose which King you want.
4) The player that shuffled gets to go first.

ON YOUR TURN:

1) First you lay down your King (on your first turn not every time).
2) You can play one card of the top of your stack next to your King.
3) You can then attack a card that is in the space in front of your played card.
4) If your cards wins, you takes the defeated card's spot and you put the defeated card in the bottom of your stack.
5) If two cards of the same level attack each other then both are discarded
6) Once your card has defeated enough of the opponent's cards to get next to their King, you can attack it if you haven't attacked with the card already. When a player's king(or any card) is about to be attacked you can search through the stack for a Joker. If you have one, you can play it, defeat the opposing card, take it and end your turn (the Joker is then discarded).
7)If the card on top of your stack isn't one you wish to play, then you can end your turn simply by shuffling your deck.

These are set into stone...........................................................................................................................................................................................for now.

Brainstorm

I am no longer going to incorporate dice into my game. The reason for this is because my card game is meant to be easy for everyone to play and some people might not have a deck of cards AND dice on hand. Players will have cards in their hand and cards that are in front of them or "in play". When you card attacks another card and wins, that card becomes yours ("war-mechanic"). They player who runs out of cards to defend himself loses. Special card mechanics previously mentioned will probably stay (seven beats all odds, etc.). Spades, hearts, diamonds, and club mechanics will be throw away for the sake of simplicity. I want people to learn the game in 5 minutes and play for 25 minutes, not learn the game in 25 minutes and play it for 5 minutes.

DISCLAIMER: Everything mentioned herewith is NOT official and should NOT be taken seriously. This is just the brainstorm phase.  Hayden Corp. is NOT responsible for any damages caused by readers who are angry with the changes made to the game.

Brainstorm

The deck size will be 52 (two Jokers included). The power order will be 2 to Ace then Joker; 7 beats all odd numbers. Because this game will have a "War-type" mechanic, there will be cards that tie: hearts beat clubs, spades beat hearts, diamonds beat spades, clubs beat diamonds. Each player's (there are only two) main card is a king. If that king gets attacked three times, your opponent wins. This is just what I've brainstormed so far, so more will come. Current name ideas for it are Odds or Joker-Seven.
